Bio

The Beginning

Mr. Ricardo, a.k.a. Richard Carhart, hails from Sussex NB. At the age of 14, he picked up a guitar and began to make music. Throughout his life, he played guitar and bass, coming up with his own melodies, harmonies and riffs

Interests

Mr. Ricardo is also active in Saint John DJ Farm where new and old DJ’s can come together for fun but also to learn from each other as well.

One lovely evening in 2001, Richard attended a show thrown by Special Blend (SoundSyster and Shonoman) as only they can and he became entranced with electronic music. Richard couldn’t get enough of Electronica and watched many dj’s play their best. It wasn’t until Adam O’Brien (Fleur de Seoul) came to stay with him in 2006 that actually brought a set of tech 12’s and a pioneer 600 into Richard’s life that he actually began to spin

Now

Since then, he cannot seem to get away from those tables. His very first time playing in public was the night of his wedding at Club Nitro August 26, 2006 and he has been itching for more ever since. He has become a resident of Port City Productions, and has played for a few independent promoters in the Saint John area throughout 2006 and 2007
